If you are like me, you probably heard about the never ending debate on the pros and cons of biodiesel fuels. If you are wondering what is biodiesel fuel? It is a form of green energy for cars and even though there have been endless debates about it, it is quite an amazing thing of fueling your car with biodiesel fuel. Lets take a look the true facts of biodiesel fuel.

Let me tell you a quick story on what biodiesel fuel exactly. You will be amazed uncovering what is it. It is can be produced from a wide range of natural crops such as flax, soybean, sunflower, mustard or even waste vegetable oils. One of the advantages of using a biodiesel fuel is that is reduce engine wear and produce less harm gas. It is no doubt a great alternative usage but it does require engine modifications.

As stated earlier that biodiesel fuel can be created from numerous different resources. The oil and fats used to produce biodiesel fuel will dictate important properties of the fuel such as cold flow, energy content and oxidative stability. Cold flow has to do with the temperature at which the fuel crystallizes. In regards to energy content, AgriFuels asserts that saturated fats have more energy.

Oxidative stability deals the antioxidants. These antioxidants lead to a longer shelf-life. Various oil and greases can subsequently create biodiesel fuel. Here are some examples of various biodiesel fuel derivatives. Both sources that are current use and some of its future prospects as well as how AgriFuels advocates in order to get a rough idea of this.

Grown in Europe, the Rapseed Oil is the most common oil for biodiesel fuel. They are also commonly known as Canadian variety canola in Canada. Mustard Oil is by far the most potential as it can be use as oil but also as organic pesticide. The next big thing for biodiesel fuel as some algae is made up of 50% of oil.

All the oil that is thrown away in the dumpster by many restaurants and businesses are collected. All of this recycled oil that might have been waste restaurant grease or used vegetable oil and made into biodiesel oil. Using our waste streams as feedstock for other products would be another sustainable alternative. In the search of finding alternative suitable engines, producing biodiesel fuel vehicles may be a good choice.

Biodiesel fuel would help to reduce the amount of fossil fuel that is currently in use to power automobiles as it would be a great alternative. There are so many different options to look at in the acquisition of biodiesel fuel and with this it could only assist the whole country as a nation to be a greener nation.

Some food for thought, with the alarming high usage of fossil fuel we might not have enough to meet the demand for ourselves and what more to meet the demand of the future. Biodiesel fuel would be a great alternative.
