Most people know what its like to clean. For the majority of us, it's a major part of life. But, cleaning can also take it's toll on a family's budget. During an economy crisis, like we are currently experiencing around the world, people need to learn ways to save on everything...and that includes cleaning supplies. So, here are a few ways that you can save some much needed cash while still doing your best to manage your household: 1. Give feedback whenever you can. Companies want to know what you think about their products. They constantly request feedback from consumers. So, it is only fitting that you give yours. The incentives for your time and thoughts are usually definitely more than "pennies". In fact, some companies may give you free items and coupons worth up to $1 off of their products. They present plenty of opportunities for saving. Cost-conscious people can take advantage and it's completely free to do. 2. Cut it. Some cleansers are so strong that they can actually stand to be diluted a little with water. Some companies actually offer their products in concentrated form that will allow you to determine the strength of your cleaning solution. You can also save by cutting sponges in half. Most of them are very large and by cutting them, you can actually be more successful with getting to those hard to reach areas. 3. Always use coupons. Manufacturers put coupons for cleaning products everywhere. You can usually find them either on the product itself, in the Sunday newspaper, in store circulars, online, and in the supermarket aisles. Coupons can range in the actual saving that consumers can expect. They can be anywhere from a 10- or 15- cents discount to offers of free products! The best way to take advantage of the saving, cost cutting, and deals that coupons offer is to use them in stores that offer double or triple the manufacturer's coupon value, and by using them during "buy one, get one" or clearance sales. By combining these deals, you can expect to pay just a few cents for some products and absolutely nothing for others! 4. Have a cleaning good time with a "tidy up party". Everybody buys products that sometimes don't give us that "warm and fuzzy" feeling after we smell or use them. Having a "tidy up party" is a chance for friends to get together and save. The way that it works is that everyone brings their "excess" cleaning supplies and you exchange them for stuff that you want. It's fun, free, and a way to get rid of some of that stuff that you don't need. 5. Check the thrift stores. People donate lots of stuff. A lot of the time their donations are a result of an upcoming move or cleaning out an elderly persons home. So, it is highly likely that you can find extremely cheap cleaning supplies at your local thrift stores. Some people have found everything from 5-cent sponges and wiping cloths to 50c cleaning pails. There are sure to be some great finds and opportunities to save! From the most frugal fashionista to the regular penny pincher, people can appreciate any opportunity to save during this economy crisis...even when it's the chance to save on cleaning supplies.
