One of the biggest challenges any internet marketer is getting traffic. With new marketing products being released every week, sometimes daily, it is hard to distinguish the good strategies from the bad. However, article marketing has long been one of the easiest ways to get traffic. Some believe that you need to submit upwards of 20 or more a day to get real traffic. But that effort is not really needed to obtain results. These same folks believe that the more the merrier, but I would not confuse quantity with quality. A well written, informative article will go further for the efforts. Here are some of the other benefits of using articles as a website traffic method. Although many so called bum marketers would say to write 20 or more a day, you do not want to give up quality for quantity. Saturating a niche with crappy content will not help you with the long term goal of becoming an authority in the niche. One of the benefits is that your article may get picked up and published in and e-zine and that publisher may archive their different issues. This will result in a long term inbound link from that site which raises your sites ranking and credibility. To increase the chances of getting published make sure the content is relevant and not a sales type of article. Articles are a great way to build a rapport and trust with readers. When you offer good, free content that can solve issues that others have they are more likely to visit your site and either opt in or make a purchase. Trust is a major selling point. Remember that article submission is not just about how many you have out there, it much more important that they are readable and good quality. Focus your efforts on one niche at a time and write something of value. Once submitted you should start to see some traffic pretty quickly, at least that has been my experience. The important thing to remember is that writing articles is a great way to increase your website traffic. Write with the reader in mind and focus on useful material. The better written it is the more you increase the chances of someone else publishing the content and driving more traffic for you.
