Hungary, located in Central Europe, flies a wonderful representing flag from flag poles and such throughout this beautiful territory in modern times. Like other European flags, the national banner of this country is also considered a tricolor type flag. Displaying the colors red, white and green on horizontal bands, this particular flag does not display the coat of arms of its respective territory.

Unlike other European flags, the national flag of Hungary was adopted only 53 years ago. The design of the flag is based on events that occurred even further back in time however. Today's banner is based on the national flag of France as well as the thoughts and ideas that were produced as a result of the French Revolution. The colors of the Hungarian flag were not taken from the French, but from the historical and national coat of arms of Hungary.

The Hungarian tricolor and Hungarian historical flags fly wonderfully from flagpoles of all kinds throughout the Hungarian territory in modern times. Even though the current flag was officially adopted during the 1950-s, the first Hungarian (red, white and green colored) tricolor flag was officially adopted in 1867. Even though minor changes were made to the flag overtime, the colors have remained as is since the flag was first adopted and flown from a flagpole.

The capital and largest city of Hungary is the city of Budapest. Hungary is a member of the European Union or "EU," the "North Atlantic Treaty Organization" or "NATO" and also is considered a Schengen state. Somewhat of an obvious fact to many, the official language spoken is Hungarian.

The color red is said to represent strength, white symbolizes faithfulness, and the color green is said to represent hope, thus making up the three colors shown on the national flag of Hungary. This and other flag of Europe are available in a variety of materials for in and outdoor use. Flags flown from aluminum and steel flagpoles are subject to elements of all kinds, including rain and wind.
