What about renting older motorhomes? Older motorhomes can be very profitable rentals. Many owners keep their old motorhome when they rent, and use the rental revenue to pay for the new motorhome. Advantage of renting older RV's include: MBA does not insure vehicles more than 10 years old. Renter will need to provide an insurance binder. If I rent a vehicle or motorhome, do I need to buy the rental company insurance? Our policy automatically covers rental vehicles for temporary use by the named insured or family member who is a resident of the insured's household. Rental companies offer a deductible buy-back option. You do not need to buy this coverage if you have coverage for collision and other than collision (comprehensive) under your policy and are not concerned about the deductibles which would apply (the same deductibles you carry on the vehicle you insure with us will apply to this rented vehicle). This automatic coverage applies only to private passenger vehicles. U-Hauls, motor homes and business vehicles are not covered by our policy. Utility and recreational trailers are limited to $2500 coverage. Are there any limitations as to where I can be towed? We will tow you to your home or to the nearest service provider. We will not necessarily tow you to the location of your choice (i.e. to your vacation home or to your friend's house.) We do not do ""secondary tows"" from repair facilities. You should also note: we do not service vehicles that are already broken down when you join the Club. Motor clubs are like insurance and if people only became members when they needed service, then our prices would have to be much, much higher. Whom do I call if I have a complaint? The local service provider who provided help is responsible for the roadside assistance that you receive and should be your first point of contact. However, we want to know about the incident as we try to maintain a database of the most reliable Service Providers in the business, and, if you remain unsatisfied, we want to act as your advocate in the complaint process." Can we smoke in the vehicle? We operate a no smoking policy to maintain the freshness of the vehicle for the benefit of all our clients. Curtains and upholstery cost in excess of ??60 to dry clean, and we reserve the right to pass on this charge if hirers smoke in the vehicle. We are happy to show people around our vehicles but they are generally out on hire. Please enquire as to availability. You can leave your car with us for the duration of the hire free of charge, this is entirely at the owner's risk and we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage. Please be aware that we need to retain the keys to any vehicle left with us in case of emergency. Can I pick-up or drop-off at the airport? Our Queenstown branch is located at the airport! Maui provides free airport to branch and branch to airport transfers on the day of arrival plus departure for the Auckland and Christchurch branches both are very close to the airport. Our Wellington agency is approximately 40 minute drive from the airport (transfers via your own arrangements, taxis and shuttles are available). All our motorhomes are covered by comprehensive motoring insurance, which covers the UK. Additional cover can be arranged for Europe at an extra cost. It does not cover your personal items, and we recommend that personal insurance be considered to fully protect yourself.
