Do any of the vehicles have awnings? There are no awnings on the motorhome rental units and we do not carry awnings to rent. Awnings are either removed entirely or permanently locked so they cannot be opened. Recreational bicycles and bike racks are available at some of our fly-drive locations on a first come first served basis: by request only . Note:We do NOT carry any Mountain or Motor Bikes at any location. The staff at each location may be able to provide directions to where one can be purchased. Are you able to arrange finance on motorhomes? Yes we are licenced credit brokers. Black Horse finance offer finance for any period up to ten years on a motorhome as long as the motorhome is no older than 17 years old at the end of the finance period. If you are looking at an older camper, we may be able to organise finance with an alternative lender. Please give us a call for details. We offer competitive rates, please use our finance calculator or email us for a quote. How do I book a motorhome rental? You can register your interest online and one of our rental assistants will contact you, or you can phone our office for further information and to check availability. Rental is charged by the week and upon booking you will need to pay a non-refundable booking deposit of 200.00 per week. The full balance will need to be paid 6 weeks before collection. As insurance security you will be asked to leave a refundable security deposit of 500.00 upon collection. This acts as an insurance excess during your hire, and will be refunded provided that the vehicle is returned clean and undamaged as described in our terms and conditions. In the event of an insurance claim the cost of the damage or claim will be deducted from your deposit. How long am I able to rent a motor home for? Our peak season rentals are for 7 or 14 nights (special deals available for longer durations - contact us for details). During mid and low season we can cater for shorter breaks." What type of gas mileage should we expect to get? This depends on the size of your vehicle and wehere you take it. Normal flat road driving, averages about 9 miles to the gallon.Our Cook Strait ferry tickets are transferable and fully refundable at no extra cost. Is luggage storage available at the location? Yes, luggage storage is available at all our locations. It's also possible to leave valuables such as flight tickets.Normal pick-up times are usually between 1 and 4 PM, with some locations allowing pick-up as early as 11 AM.
